“We empower young people in the UK and in Malawi, whose lives and potential are challenged by being homeless, unemployed, in conflict with the law or threatened by sexual exploitation, to take charge of their future and lead independent lives.”
We focus on young people’s talents and potential and give them social and practical tools which inspire, empower and enable them to make powerful changes in their lives and to build a better future for themselves and their communities.
In the UK the Beyond Boundaries programme uses adventure and journeying as a catalyst for personal development, giving young people the tools and skills to lead independent lives.
In Malawi we have established an new rehabilitation centre offering an Alternative to Custody programme which provides education and vocational training to young young boys, giving them a real chance to live successful lives at the end of their sentences. Our Pioneers of Change project protects underage girls from sexual exploitation. The Rites of Passage programme enables young people to become entrepreneurs through micro businesses, and inspires and enables them to become active social citizens and leaders in their communities.
