76 school girls climb a mountain to raise awareness of sex trafficking and exploitation

Girls Lead The Way To Stop Trafficking and Exploitation

Pioneers For Change is a new programme, designed by our team to try and stop the harmful and widespread practice of school aged girls being trafficked or coerced into sex work or other forms of sexual abuse and exploitation. Our young Malawian team are going to extraordinary lengths to create a programme with real impact. Delivering workshops within primary schools, conducting extensive family visits, working alongside the police and schools to ensure a holistic and effective programme. They have held public events, organised a 10km hike up a mountain with 76 school girls and started a very popular girls football team - all geared towards empowering young girls and the wider community to work together to stamp out these damaging and illegal practices.
